Sweatshack
was established in 1980, initially as a uniform distributor. All
garments were designed and produced by the owners in small workshop under the
David Cavan sportswear label.
The OConnor family started the current business together
with a dream and very little capital.
They emigrated to Canada from Manchester, England in 1974 with 13 pieces of
luggage and a 2 year old. Cavan was a trained ladies tailor who thought he was
coming to a dream job, unfortunately was sadly disappointed. However, he worked
at several different outlets to garner experience and discover which markets
his talents could be applied to. Eventually deciding on the sportswear field.
Prompted by friends to design sweatsuits for their sons hockey team, the sweatshackck
was born.
Demand for Sweatshack uniforms grew and six months later the first Sweatshack
store opened complete with factory.
Providing uniforms for every sport, either custom or by catalogue, we supply
most major brands including Adidas, Umbro, Nike, Puma, Lotto, Reebok
and more!
We have a full selection of soccer game jerseys from all over the world,
endless styles of soccer shoes and soccer balls from mini size up to
International match balls. We sell everything for referees, including
jerseys , cards, whistles, flags, corner flags, and nets as well as a complete
range of goalie equipment. In store we also carry Rugby gear including,
shoes, shorts ,scrum caps and shoulder pads and socks. We also have lots of
training / agility equipment and gift items.
